Our Story

While out shopping in the summer of 2018, we came across a beautiful, repurposed wine barrel table. We wanted it for our home, but it was just too expensive.

We decided to find ourselves a barrel and build a table. Finding one was no easy task! There were no barrels readily available. We were added to a one- to two-year waiting list for a barrel from a local winery.

Persistent, we made call after call in hopes of finding a barrel. Well, we didn’t just find one—we found a full warehouse at a Washington winery! The problem was that they were only sold in bulk. So, we rented a trailer and away we went.

When we walked into the warehouse full of barrels, it was quite the sight.

We loaded up the trailer and headed home. Once we arrived, it turned out that we were not the only ones looking for a barrel. Our trailer load sold out within 3 days!

We enjoyed meeting many different people and seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces when we showed them the barrels…so we were off to get more.

We quickly outgrew our garage and moved into a larger facility. Receiving barrels by the truckload, we were able to offer barrels at a better price.

The following spring, barrel orders poured in and it was time for us to create a place where customers could stop by, say hi, and pick what they wanted to buy. As sales grew, so did our need for more locations. We welcomed new team members and set up distributors in other parts of British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario.

In the fall of 2020, we expanded our furniture division. We now provide made-to-order furniture out of barrels. It was a long road to get here, but we’ve had a barrel of a time along the way!

Today, we’re Canada’s largest distributor of used whiskey and wine barrels and are proud to support woodworking courses at local schools in BC’s Fraser Valley.
